2008 was another record year for Challenger Sports, over 92,000 boys and girls attended some 1,800 British Soccer Camps in the USA and Canada. This is nearly three times as many campers as our nearest competition!

Some 650 of you enjoyed a wild and crazy summer, driving tens of thousands of miles, coaching hundreds of enthusiastic kids and having way too much fun during your time off! 150 of you also then stayed on and worked on our ever expanding Club Trainer program in the fall. From the emails we have been receiving from club administrators and parents, you did a wonderful job of coaching, you carried through our message of character development and you made a huge impact on the lives of many children throughout North America.

In 2009 we are going to employ around 750 coaches on over 2,000 camps. To manage this size of staff our 14 regional offices will need the help of experienced coaches to lead by example and to ensure that we duplicate the same high quality program of instruction and daily schedule of camp activities. 

Throughout the summer we will appoint many of you as Camp Directors and will lean on you heavily to help execute  the systems of operation that are needed to run so many camps in such a big country. We hope that you are up for the challenge and that you will enjoy the added responsibility and the opportunity to show us what a great leader, team mate, public relations manager, logistics coordinator and coach you can be!
